Hercules

ABOUT

‘Hercules’ outlines the frustration around being a working independent musician and the relentless onslaught of insecurity and doubt that songwriters are constantly battling. This song is the sonic equivalent of simply going ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ in the face of an exhausting inner monologue, and choosing to go back to basics- the simple joy of playing music and telling your story.

Pipe Dream

ABOUT

Pipe Dream’ is a bold and empowering electronic pop song, blending warm retro synths with bright modern production and captivating vocals. It marks the first collaboration between these two Australian artists, and was recorded across state lines in their home studios.

Overdue

ABOUT

‘Overdue’ was birthed during 2020 in the midst of the global pandemic, at the first chance to finally stray away from the monotony of working life. The EP consists of 6 tracks:

Grow

Gone

April

Tickets

Calendars

Take You Home

These tracks were all produced and recorded in a bedroom recording set up, and capture stories ranging from zoom wedding celebrations, to lost love, to using cinema to come down from anxieties.

Montage

ABOUT

‘Montage’ is a broken-hearted dance track that communicates within the tender last moments of being with someone you love, or had loved. The driving electric guitar paired with the syncopated sub bass create anticipation for the inevitable release of emotion that comes with the choir in the chorus. Lyrics that would usually be accompanied by ballad-like instrumentation, are instead blended with a traditional house beat and a hollow, warm synthetic organ.

‘Montage’ appears in an episode of the Japanese Netflix series ‘Terrace House’, and has since amounted in 500k+ streams on Spotify

Bares

‘Bares’ is the self titled debut EP released in 2017, and features 6 songs written and recorded in the months leading up to Ella’s graduation from the Bachelor of Music at Excelsia College.

These tracks are:
