‘Not Like Other Girls’ was written in it’s entirety in one sitting after a conversation with a guy who thought he was leaving me a compliment. This person, like many men, are lucky to even be in the same vicinity as most women. The song is about how women are diverse and interesting, but the binary opinion of many men is that women are either like other girls, or not like other girls, and the former deserve to be treated like shit
